Hi, thanks, just wondering why the translator stops at the second artciles....

Posted by Anonymous Anonymous | June 2, 2007 at 7:05 PM

Hi Alex, it works well now. It was a problem with my post, not the script.

I use a simpler script from Mani (please see my posting).

Thanks a lot for dropping by. Cheers.

Posted by Anonymous Anonymous | June 3, 2007 at 5:59 AM

Hi Alex, just realized that yours is actually much better, since Mani's script will only translate the main page, while yours will translate whatever page that the visitor is reading.

Great job, and many thanks!!!

Firstly accept my apologies abt removing the "About" link..I dint realize its utility then...I do now and I have thus put it back !!
Sorry abt that gaffe!

Now, I know this thing works with Google Translation and yet I have called it BabelBabble in reference to the Tower of Babel. Look it up on wiki....perhaps you will follow !

And btw, thanxs for this cute tool...!!!

Nice toolset, but i have one problem (i know it's caused by google, but still)
How many of you tried to translate from english to german, and then to italian? (example).

Posted by Anonymous Anonymous | June 11, 2007 at 1:15 AM

For Victor:
After translating the blog/site in a language need to click "back" button than to choose another language.

Posted by Blogger Incognito | June 11, 2007 at 3:46 AM

Thank you for your widget.

In regard to your comment about the removal of your "about" button. It was clutter located where it was. However, I put a link to you in a very prominent place.

Can you please help me in getting the needed?

Posted by Anonymous Anonymous | June 18, 2007 at 2:49 PM

Hi, exactly how do I get this widget on my blog? I had a Babelfish translation tool, then changed to a Classic type of blog and now have lost and can't get back the translation tool or put this one there. Exactly where do I paste in the code, please?

Posted by Blogger Solomon Blue Waters | June 22, 2007 at 9:33 AM

hi, about the translation tool:
what you can do:
step 1 - go to "customize design" then upgrade to new layouts template
step 2 - chose your "sand dollar" template back
step 3 - go to "page elements" after that go to "add a page element", then chose "html/javascript" option
step 4 - copy all script code of the widget from the link of my blog:
www.googletranslategadget.blogspot.com
step 5 - put all code in that blogger form window, then click save changes.
if you don't want to upgrade your template the go "edit html" tab and put the script code after this tag:

div id="mainClm"

then click save template changes.
If you still have problems contact me on e-mail:

Works fairly well on my site. Except after I translate, images with links in my side bar disappear. Images without links are visible.
The images with links have been uploaded to another site & I do use the URL to put them in. Anywork around?

Does not work properly when you have images with links in sidebar. They all disappear. Needs to have refresh page code or load picture before translate.

But i wonder if someone click the flag will popup into the new window....how to change the code so that it will work?

Thanks...... :)

Hi, great widget. It's very use full indeed. By the way, I notice that you place "Please click one ads to support this site" on top of your page. I think this violates Adsence TOS. Better remove it before they ban your account. No offense, just a piece of advice.

Posted by Blogger kumowai | August 29, 2007 at 5:16 AM

Hi!Great tool...but is going to take a while to put it to work, I still have to find a way to translate from Portuguese to other languages...
Tks

Posted by Blogger Unknown | October 4, 2007 at 5:29 AM

This doesn't work - I get:

Method Not Allowed
Error 405

Maybe the code is out of date to something google changed? If so, anyone got a new code?

Posted by Blogger VanCM Blogger | October 26, 2007 at 12:50 PM

Actually I was wrong, I guess I was trying to use it in the plogger template preview and that wasn't working... Thanks for the very useful tool! I had been using Yahoo : http://labnol.blogspot.com/2006/05/add-custom-looking-website-translator.html but that kept breaking on me.

Posted by Blogger VanCM Blogger | October 26, 2007 at 12:54 PM

One of the big problems with this code is it references the images on your blog here which get overloaded a lot. We should all just copy the images or make our own - and host them seperately - so you don't get overloaded and so our pages display faster.

limit existed but thanks any way :)

The translation of the own blog is very useful. Tt works well, if you only have only the one source language. Here is a solution for the blogs with multilingual content (posts).

I added the code to my template (right before the close above body) and I got this error message:

We were unable to save your template
Please correct the error below, and submit your template again.
Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
XML error message: The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference.

What does that mean and what am I doing wrong?

Hi! I've tried to add the gadget to my blog to no avail. Could you please tell me where exactly I have to copy the code given in "http://translate.google.com/translate_tools"?

I mean: where exactly inside the window in "edit HTML". I looked for the line div id="mainClm" and it doesn't seem to be there.

Thank you so much.
